March 20, 2021: Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav launched by Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi to commemorate the 75th year of Indian independence, was celebrated by Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL) at Sambalpur in Odisha, under its Comprehensive Community Development Programme – Utthan. On this occasion, an awareness creation workshop was organized for local land resource optimization through Agri-Horti-Forestry (Wadi) model, which enlisted the participation of 150 farmers.
