BAIF @ COP28
BAIF Development Research Foundation, along with other National and International partner organizations will be hosting and participating in a series of events at the 28th meeting of the Conference of the Parties (COP) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) to be held from November 30 to December 12, 2023 at the Expo City, Dubai, UAE.
BAIF reaches out to about 4 million families annually for their socio economic upliftment. BAIF’s programmes are implemented across 14 states with focus on adaptation to suitable climate smart practices, technologies and services in livestock development, dry land farming with emphasis on food security, natural resources management and community and women empowerment, for building resilience and promoting mitigation pathways. A low footprint circular economy driven by inclusive, equitable sustainable development is the goal which is aligned with BAIF’s mandate – “planet–people–prosperity”.
As a UNFCCC-accredited Observer Organization at COP28, BAIF looks forward to networking with like-minded entities, establishing contacts for programme expansion and forging partnerships in climate actions, technology development and research during the climate summit. The delegation from BAIF aims to derive strategic insights from global perspectives while learning about emerging paradigms and innovations. BAIF will be sharing its successful models which will highlight the scope for wider replication and scaling up in different geographies.
